Khelvin Méndez – CEO & Estimator

Khelvin is one of the founders and CEO of Mencor’s Tree Service. Originally from Honduras, he came to the United States with a clear vision: to build a company rooted in professionalism, integrity, and exceptional tree care. As the lead estimator and primary point of contact for clients, Khelvin is often the first face people see. He takes pride in listening closely, offering honest guidance, and ensuring every project starts with clear communication and mutual trust. His leadership, industry knowledge, and dedication are central to Mencor’s continued success. Khelvin is guided by two core values: delivering outstanding service and treating every client’s property with the same respect and care as his own. These principles shape every job, no matter the size.

Outside of work, Khelvin enjoys staying active and spending time with his dog, Apollo. His energy, focus, and commitment—both personally and professionally—are at the heart of everything Mencor’s Tree Service stands for. 

Armando Murcia – Tree Care Technician

With one year of experience in the tree care industry, Armando brings enthusiasm and a strong desire to grow in his role. He’s working toward becoming a climber, drawn to the adrenaline and adventure of scaling trees and shaping them for both health and beauty.

Armando is always eager to learn—especially when it comes to operating heavy machinery and mastering new techniques. His commitment to improvement makes him a valuable part of the Mencor’s Tree Service team.

Outside of work, Armando enjoys playing soccer and staying active. His favorite quote, “Work hard, play hard!”, reflects his energetic approach to both life and work

Daniel Méndez – Foreman 

Originally from Honduras, Daniel has always had a love for the outdoors and a natural connection to trees. After more than 10 years in the United States and over 5 years of hands-on experience in tree trimming and pruning, he brings both skill and passion to every project.

As the crew foreman, Daniel takes pride in leading each job with care and professionalism. He enjoys walking clients through the process and especially loves seeing their reactions to the transformation. These interactions also help him continue improving his English, something he values deeply.

Daniel is enthusiastic about operating heavy machinery and driving large trucks— combining his love for the work with a strong sense of responsibility. In his free time, he enjoys playing sports, staying active, gaming, and watching movies.

His favorite quote is: “Do what you love and love what you do.” 

Yonger Méndez – Tree Care Specialist 

Originally from Honduras, Yonger has lived in the United States for over 20 years. With a strong work ethic and a love for the outdoors, he brings valuable experience to Mencor’s Tree Service team. For the past four years, he has focused on tree care, developing a reputation for being detail-oriented and committed to leaving every property clean and well-maintained.

Yonger enjoys the hands-on nature of the job, especially working with chainsaws and operating large trucks. His dedication and precision make him a key part of the crew.

Outside of work, Yonger enjoys listening to music, going to the gym, and creating digital content. He lives by the words: “I can do everything because Christ is my strength.” 

Edgar Méndez – Lead Climber & Co-Founder 

Originally from Honduras, Edgar has lived in the United States for over 15 years and brings more than 14 years of experience in tree cutting, pruning, and overall tree care. He’s passionate about doing things right and takes pride in the quality of his work.

As one of the founders of Mencor’s Tree Service and a lead climber, Edgar plays a vital role in both field operations and team leadership. He enjoys sharing his knowledge and finds fulfillment in helping others learn and grow through

his experience.

Outside of work, Edgar enjoys fishing, hunting, and caring for his animals—especially his chickens, which he’s particularly proud of. His favorite quote, full of personality and humor, is: “Let’s get out of here… because this place is haunted!” 

Ariel – Tree Care Crew Member 

Ariel is a dedicated member of the Mencor’s Tree Service crew, bringing a strong work ethic and a team-first attitude to every project. Whether assisting with ground operations or supporting climbers, Ariel plays an important role in keeping each job running smoothly and safely. His reliability and positive energy make him a valued part of the team.

Jorge Duarte – Tree Care Technician 

With three years of experience in tree cutting services, Jorge is known for his strong teamwork and dedication to delivering excellent results. He brings energy and precision to every job and enjoys the adrenaline that comes with using a chainsaw and working outdoors.

Jorge takes pride in doing quality work and being a reliable part of the crew. His positive attitude and commitment to safety make him a valuable member of Mencor’s Tree Service team.

In his free time, Jorge enjoys playing soccer and video games. His favorite quote is: “If you fall five times, get up six.” 

Gaby Rubio – Operations & Community Engagement 

Gaby has been part of the tree care industry for three years and plays a vital behind-the-scenes role at Mencor’s Tree Service. Her work keeps the day-to-day operations running smoothly and supports the team in countless ways.

Outside of work, Gaby enjoys watching movies, exploring new wineries, and soaking in peaceful sunrises and sunsets. At home, she finds joy in gardening and caring for her chickens—outdoor activities that keep her grounded and

always learning.

Passionate about staying connected to the community, Gaby uses her role at Mencor to support local events, build relationships, and give back whenever

she can. 

Apollo – Team Mascot & Unofficial CEO 

Apollo isn’t just part of the team—he’s the top dog. With a tail that wags like clockwork and a nose for good vibes, Apollo keeps things pawsitive around the shop. He may not climb trees, but he’s got a bark that means business and a strut that says, “I run this place.”

From greeting guests with award-winning cuteness to supervising snack breaks with laser-sharp focus, Apollo’s daily duties include:

• Quality sniffs of all visitors
• Mandatory belly rub inspections
• Occasional zoomie drills to boost team morale

Though he doesn’t visit job sites, Apollo’s presence is felt in every wag, woof, and wildly adorable moment. He’s the glue that holds the crew together—and the fluff that keeps spirits high.
